Moa adalah burung asli Selandia Baru yang tidak dapat terbang. Mereka unik karena tidak memiliki sayap, bahkan tidak memiliki sayap kecil. Limabelas spesies pada besar yang bervariasi, dengan yang terbesar, moa raksasa (Dinornis robustus dan Dinornis novaezelandiae), mencapai tinggi sekitar 3.6 m dan berat 250 kg. Mereka adalah hewan herbivora di ekosistem hutan Selandia Baru. Daun, ranting dan buah memainkan peran penting untuk makanan mereka.
Moa diburu oleh elang Haast, elang terbesar di dunia yang juga telah punah. Kepunahan moa diakibatkan oleh perburuan dan pembersihan hutan oleh suku Māori. Semua Moa diperkirakan tewas pada tahun 1500.
